Chad&Amber- Engaged!

Chad and Amber got engaged & booked me as their wedding photographer with one of my packages that didn't include an engagement session. Chad decided to surprise Amber with adding an engagement session, and so we went out on the town! :) We had so much fun. I asked Amber what about Chad makes her laugh the hardest, and she said, "Uhh.. when he tickles me?" It was a great answer, and actually led to some tickling from Chad. They are so sweet together. Here are a few! Can't wait to shoot their wedding in July!

Kathleen Pruitt- Bridals

I love when I can finally blog bridal portraits. The waiting kills me. ;) Kathleen Colson married the man of her dreams last night at the YWCA building in downtown Fort Worth, and she is now Mrs. Kathleen Pruitt. It was such a classic and beautiful wedding. I am a firm believer in the phrase 'Simple is best', and that's exactly what this wedding was. Simple. Best. Perfect. Check out her bridals that she had displayed in GORGEOUS frames at the reception:

Anna Brumley- Senior

Anna...my last senior of Spring. :/ I love photographing senior girls (no offense boys) & I had my lucky share of awesome ones this past fall and spring. Anna Brumley is such a fun and quirky girl. She rocked her sunglasses, Ed Hardy dress, and danced with her hand-painted 'A'. Her sister tagged along the last few locations and when we got to the red door, she parked and cranked up some rap for Anna to dance to. ha We had so much fun driving around downtown Amarillo with my goofy sketched map in my lap. hah.. I learned my way around though... eventually. Here are a few from our afternoon together:

Zach & Dayna- Engaged!!

Zach & Dayna are too cute. With Zach's original Tech boots and Dayna's killer pink dress, they rocked this session! She's so petite and adorable. When they hug, she is swallowed by Zach's bear hugs. :) I love it. I'm so excited for Dayna's bridals and wedding day. She has such a classic style to her, but loves vibrance as well. It will be awesome to see how it all comes together. Enjoy these and keep checkin back for their bridal and wedding photos!

Bryan (Donald) & Chris- Engaged!

How Donald & Chris met is pretty hilarious: they were at the corn maze with some mutual friends, and Donald decided to get his "flirt on" with Chris by stealing her cell phone. :) Welp, Chris thought it was just annoying and was a little irritated with the fact that this complete stranger was being quite the pest to win over her attention. Weeks later Donald & Chris were chanced upon again. This time, Donald was eating macaroni and cheese and spilled it all over himself. Chris giggled, pitied him, and fell in love from that moment on. ;) ...amazing that cell phones, corn mazes, junior high flirting, and macaroni&cheese can bring two together forever. These two are getting married in Alaska where Chris is from. It will be beeeaaauuutttiiffuuulllllll. After a couple of hours of pokin', ticklin', and cheek-squeezin', here are Bryan Donald and Chris Canales:

Inspired.

Every blog-stalker goes through a time in their career where they are photographers.. uhh what? i mean.. every PHOTOGRAPHER goes though a time in their career where they are BLOG-STALKERS. I met with a photographer this morning, and chatted with her about how silly it is to compare photos with other photographers if YOU are an artist. If you're an artist, you create. Lubbock may be "limited" to creative locations, but the image you see through the view finder shouldn't be sparked by another local photographer's blog. It should be sparked by your inspiration.. your heroes.. your style.. your gut.. your adventure.. your groove.. your flare.. your way of expressing yourself. I hope this comes out in every one of my photos. If you know me and it doesn't, please hit me over the head & take me to Anthropologie, give me a coloring book, coffee ice cream, a big field, and an old working type-writer to write everything on my heart, and I promise my inspiration will come back. :) Here are a few photos of me doing what I love. I usually don't blog about my personal life too often, but I think I'm going to start. So enjoy these pictures (some extremely goofy). ;)
