Dufek Wedding

Oh Jack and Pamela.. couples that are this fantastic are SUCH blessings to photographers. Meeting with J & P was so last minute, but we scheduled their engagement session, talked wedding plans, and before we knew it, their wedding was here, and it was an absolute joy to shoot and attend. You know you have made a connection with your bride and groom when, throughout most of the wedding day, you're crying and can hardly see through your viewfinder. I was out shopping with my mom one day before Jack & Pamela's wedding, and we ran into Pamela as she was getting her dress fitted. I introduced Pamela to my mom (also Pamela). They shook hands and held their grip and stared at each others' familiar faces for what seemed like forever. They recognized each other from the hospital. Pamela's daughter, Kiersten, was a 23 weeker "miracle baby" in the NICU at UMC. My mom is the director of the NICU at UMC. What a small world! They shook hands, recognized each other, teared up a little bit, and pulled each other close for a hug. It was such a cool moment for them to see each other. Kiersten is now 8 years old and absolutely healthy and precious!! What a blessing it was to get to know and photograph this family's wedding. :) Hope you can take part in some way by taking a look at some of these images:
