Davenport Wedding

Chad and Amber have been wonderful. We first met at the Starbuck's on 82nd (that is now nonexistent due to a caved in roof post-flood) and it was photographer's love at first sight. They were so sweet. When they told the story of how they met and how he proposed, they were shoulder to shoulder, holding each others' hands, finishing each others' sentences, and just being down right adorable. If you are a bride or groom and are skeptical when it comes to the "first look" or "sneak peek", you need to ask Chad and Amber what they think now. Their first look was awesome, (I cried..surprise surprise) and it allowed us to get some great shots of the two of them before the ceremony. Hence, the "cliff shot" that Amber wanted and we executed without flaw.. well, ALMOST no flaw. Yours truly thought it would be a good idea to walk to the edge of the cliff and kick a cactus with her chin in the process. hah.. Poor Chad and Amber having to put up with me pulling cactus needles out of my leg. My second shooter, Alexandra Nanny, came to the rescue though and got down on her knees to pull out the needles. What a gal!! Before sharing frames from the wedding day, here is Andrea's (a bridesmaid) version of 1 Corinthians 13 read at the rehearsal that I HAD to share. Everyone was laughing with tears streaming down their faces. I love it.

Love is patient
When he leaves the seat up
And kind
When his favorite football team is on

Love does not envy
His ability to solve math problems faster
Or boast
That you only pretend to be slower

It is not arrogant or rude
When he won't stop for directions
It does not insist on its own way
When choosing a new paint color for the kitchen

It is not irritable
When he snores
Or resentful
When he breaks your brand new plate

It does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails!

Amber did her own makeup for engagements, bridals, AND her wedding day! She's pretty fabulous like that..

Awesome giant flower? Forever 21. Pretty amazing, huh?

Chad said he wanted to contribute one thing.. and that was the guys' shoes. I say he contributed well. ;)

Details.. details.. details. The blue/green color scheme was perfect for a wedding on the lake, and check out the FLORAL shoes! I found out Amber was a "shoe girl" on the engagement session.. & it made my week.
