Lindsey Adams | Bride

This woman is my wedding hero.. She (with the help of mom & sisters) planned a wedding in two and a half months, and it was flawless. I'm so excited to show you her wedding images, but for now, here are some frames from her bridals. Ahh, she is GORGEOUS!

Clay & Meghan | Engagement

THEY'RE ENGAGED! I love meeting new couples, hearing their engagement story, their wedding plans, their lifelong plans, etc. AND, if you live in Lubbock, you can meet someone, start asking questions and discover you have 9875 mutual friends. Facebook helps find these people (haha), but it's always fun to figure it out in conversation. Meghan was in the same sorority at Tech as a few of my highschool volleyball teammates.. whaa?? Small world of Lubbock. Clay and Meghan specifically wanted photos taken on Tech campus. They met at college, so it was a must. Welp, C & M's engagement session took place on the same day as the Texas Tech's homecoming game against Missouri. Parking was crazy, but luckily, we snatched a spot at the Starbuck's across from campus. After we got a few shots on campus, we hopped in my car and headed downtown. Favorite conversation:

"What kind of music do you guys listen to?" -me

"I like ALL music!" -cheerful Meghan

"John Mayer.. country..stuff.." -supa chill Clay

"Umm.. thoughts on Taylor Swift?" -me

"I LOVE TAYLOR SWIFT!!!" -suddenly supa excited Clay

hahaha.. Clay might kill me for this story, but it was at that moment I knew I developed a deep connection with this couple. lol. I turned up Taylor in my car, and bam! Instant friends. ;) No shame, Clay. No shame. Congratulations you two! Oh, and Meghan? I want your GORGEOUS hair!!

Benjamin Fulfer | Grad

Benjamin Fulfer.

Loyal. Creative. Passionate.

Ben is the type of guy you can ALWAYS count on.. one of the best listeners and loyal to the death. His creativity blows my mind. He marvels at art and has a need to hear the story of the artist. He is a lover of people and jumps at any opportunity to prove it. Ben is graduating from ACU and decided to have some pictures made. Why? (Well... why not? ha) But one of his reasons was that his mom hasn't had a photo of him since he was little.. ya know, the studio photo where you rest your tilted head on your clenched fists next to the pillar and fake tree? Yeah.. it is time to replace the pictures in mom's frames, and so we took on the challenge. I think we did alright. ;) Meet my handsome friend, Ben:

Pile of Previews

Some days I feel like i have so much going on in my mind in heart, I just want to throw it up on paper, twitter, facebook, blog.. something, ANYTHING.. just to get it out. Yesterday was one of these days, and I failed to get any of it out of my system. :/ I need to get better at this. I need to discipline myself to journal my heart out like I used to. I should set aside a time to blog.. business and personal. I used to carry around about 4 different journals in my purse: the "quote journal", the "random thoughts journal", the "prayer journal", the "write-for-hours journal", the "names journal" (people I would meet or see throughout the day), etc. Anyyyyway, before I bore you to death with my old nerdy journaling habits, I need to share some faces I've photographed recently. My computer is like my mind and heart.. BURSTING with something to share. So, enjoy these previews and keep checking back for more!

David & Pat | 50yr Anniversary

These two have been married for fifty years. It was so neat to be able to photograph them in their setting.. their home, their cotton field, his truck, their pets. David and Pat's daughter called me a few weeks ago wanting to honor her parents with a photo session and a reception celebrating their 50 years together, and I was completely on board. A love that lasts that long has to be an incredible love, and it is. Spending time with the two of them was so worthwhile. (By the way, I want a border collie more than ever now. This one's name is Cutter. And the cat's name? Puss. Boots was somewhere roaming around their land. lol)
