Speed Family

Hiii blog world. I decided to blog two days in a row because I've got to get some images published and knocked out so I can show you NEW shoots! :) So get ready for a blog explosion. I'll be blogging a LOT more than usual here in the next couple of weeks. Today, let me introduce you to the Speed family.. a family of NINE! I only knew one of the Speed kiddos before this shoot, and she is pretty awesome. I didn't think her other 6 siblings could compete, but man! This group was awesome. They were so cooperative and so much fun! Giggly girls, "too cool" boys, and the sweetest parents constantly gatherin' them up and making the kids laugh. In fact, late in the shoot, I could tell we were getting tired and with sore cheeks from smiling, those fake smiles started to come out.. so I made Mom and Dad dance! They were SUCH troopers and got their groove on. I love a parent that is willing to be silly. :) Check out the Speed family:

Cepak Wedding

I was so excited when Tracy met with me and decided she wanted to use me as her wedding photographer! Tracy has been such an influential woman in my life. I first met her at Indiana Avenue Baptist Church my freshman year of college and was in a fall Bible study at her parents' house my sophomore year. Her family took me in and loved me as my own, and I knew immediately that this family was going to be a positive thing in my life. They were and are. I love the Cowen's! I remember going to one of Joe's band's gigs and seeing Tracy and Joe together was so fun to watch. Rex, Tracy's brother, is right on when he says that their relationship radiates Christ's joy. They are such a FUN couple. The wedding was evidence of that with color, salsa dancing, bright cupcakes, and a goofy wedding party. ;)

Here they are, ladies and gentlemen: Mr. & Mrs. Joe and Tracy Cepak. Have fun looking at these and keep checking back for more.

Cotton Wedding

My Sophomore year of highschool, I attended Coronado prom with the oh-so-handsome Kevin Winner. Without any laughing or mocking, here is a photo:

Though her date at the time wasn't Tyler, she was best friends with him & I had heard so much about him through a couple of church friends, John Michael and Brian (Schmee). They were constantly egging on Tyler to ask her out, and the day I found out they had started dating, it was a FIELD DAY!! Fanfares! Celebrations! Parties! They were placed in each other's life for a purpose larger than anyone knew, and it was such a wonderful thing to witness their relationship and coming together as one. They're MARRIED, and "the girl in the limo" photographed their big day. :) Here are some images to gaze upon. Enjoyyyyy!

John Michael is the top right and Schmee is the bottom right.

Okay, so the groomsmen were made up of a brother, 2 church friends, 2 highschool friends, and 2 college friends.. representing all of Tyler's life. :) Hence, the "hook 'em horns" and "Guns up" in this shot. ha love it!

Miller Wedding

Ahhh.. the Miller Wedding. It's always GREAT when clients book my third collection because I get to spend so much time with them. Engagements were SO much fun, being silly and playing on old cars, followed by a delicious dinner at Outback. Bridals were HILARIOUS, hanging out with Momma Sheanna and warding off mosquitos. Their wedding day finally rolled around, and it was beautiful. This was my second wedding to shoot at the Spirit Ranch and I think I had forgotten how gorgeous it is out there. It's so "non-Lubbock".. and I like it. (For the record, I'm not one of those "Lubbock-haters". I love Lubbock.) Chasing down peacocks, dropping rings and giggling during the ceremony, dancing down the aisle, the baseball cake, sweetest dog EVER, tears, tears, and more tears. Phil and Sheanna are now ONE, and I'm sure they are laughing everyday and loving every minute of marriage. I love when clients turn into friends. Enjoy these from their big day. :)

When a bride puts her dress on, the day finally becomes real, but it especially becomes real when brother comes in, kisses her on the cheek unexpectedly and leaves the room. Sheanna, her mom, and I blubbered. What a sweet and unforgettable moment.
