A Birthday Wish

Last Wednesday, a birthday party was held for a Aubriana Navarro. Aubriana has Type 1 spinal muscular atrophy. The average life expectancy for a child with Type 1 SMA is 8 months, usually not making it to the age of one. This tough girl is a fighter and celebrated her second birthday last Wednesday. Joined by family, friends, and surrounding community, Aubriana was blessed with encouraging cards, The Storyteller Lady, face-painting, cupcakes, Mr. California, Dora the Explorer, and pink. Kate Noelle

Katie & I had the wonderful opportunity of visiting some friends in Canada for their wedding. We fell in love with the fall leaves immediately as it sparked memories of our time together at YWAM in Germany. We HAD to stop and take some pictures. :) Here are a few.. thanks to Jenn, who actually gave me the orange (VitC) because I couldn't stop sneezing. haha.. but apparently, I cared more about the pop of color in a photograph than my health. Barry & Holly- Engaged!

When Holly and I first talked on the phone, we booked an engagement session for Sunday, September 5th. It was the perfect day.. the soonest we could do it on such a free and relaxing Sunday afternoon... NOPE. Just a few days later, I received a voicemail from Holly admitting to have committed the cardinal by booking her engagement session on the day of Texas Tech's first football game. Ruh roh. Completely understanding the possible effects that act could have when starting a marriage, we rescheduled immediately to a week later. So everyone is happy. The Tech game was attended and viewed & one more thing on Holly's wedding todo list was checked off. This gorgeous couple is getting married in Riviera Maya, Mexico. YAY DESTINATION WEDDINGS! Congratulations to you both.

Hiiii ladies and gents.

Just to share..as I get caught up, I fall behind. So I take time to catch up only to add on to my to do list and fall behind again. Maybe that's how it works? All I know is that I'm blessed with the business and with AWESOME clients with such patience. So if you're reading this, you ROCK and I love you. :) All this to say, I vow to continue to blog more and more so you can see what I'm up to.

Michael Zimmerhanzel and Kathryn McDaniel will have a winter wedding in Midland this December, and I can't wait! I mean.. how many times in a lifetime do you get to say that one of your friends will be a "Zimmerhanzel"? (Answer: not many) Kathryn calls him Zimmer; I loved it, so I picked up the nickname pretty quickly on their engagement shoot. Stick around for their winter wedding photos. :) (Please laugh at the dancing picture because I sure did when editing. Toooo much fun!)
