A Birthday Wish

Last Wednesday, a birthday party was held for a Aubriana Navarro. Aubriana has Type 1 spinal muscular atrophy. The average life expectancy for a child with Type 1 SMA is 8 months, usually not making it to the age of one. This tough girl is a fighter and celebrated her second birthday last Wednesday. Joined by family, friends, and surrounding community, Aubriana was blessed with encouraging cards, The Storyteller Lady, face-painting, cupcakes, Mr. California, Dora the Explorer, and pink.
