Emily Holland | Portraits

Meet Emily!! I went to highschool with her older brother who is currently going to school in North Carolina (jealous), and I bumped into the whole family at a wedding the Summer before last. Emily wanted some pictures as a freshman in highschool. I mean... why not?! Why wait until you're a senior? The cool part? When she gets her senior pictures done in 3.5 years, she can see how much she's changed. This is the boldest move I've ever made in a blog post, but here's a picture of me my freshman year of highschool and a picture of me now. Wowza.

Emily is the furthest thing from my awkward freshman self. She's poised, gentle, sweet, and quite the model. :) Take a look:

I dare you to put your forearm on your head and just relax. So comfortable. (hah. I'm doing it right now.)

Bobby & Erin | Engaged

I think I laughed the whole way through editing this engagement session. These guys are incredibly happy.. ALWAYS laughing. :) Erin curled her BEAUTIFUL dark red hair, and she said that Bobby said she looked like a country music singer. Funny you mention that Erin. ;) STORY TIME!!

I never told Bobby this. I think it slipped my mind: I attended the Needtobreathe/Taylor Swift concert back in October. After the concert, (being the nerd that I am) I was checking all tweets with Taylor Swift's name in the text to see if other people enjoyed her concert.. and what do you know, Bobby Sikes' tweet was the FIRST one of thousands of tweets. His read:

"So even if I lose man points for this,@taylorswift13 just put on the best show I've ever seen... "

I died laughing. What a small world! :) Bobby, if you can confidently tweet that Taylor Swift put on the best show you've ever seen, then I think you GAIN man points.

No wonder these two have so much fun. You can tell just by seeing them interact together that they invest in each other's lives and interests and LOVE it. Take a look at their engagements, and check back for wedding images next Summer. :) I love these guys.

Told you. Always laughing.

I'm not sure what Bobby's face is for, but I have a feeling he's mustering up a comeback in this photo. :D

Keeton & Kristen | Engaged

Keeton & Kristen are my first 2012 couple. They're getting married in January. :) Theyyy are great because..

1. when editing, I didn't want to delete ANY photos because they looked good in EVERY single photo. Even if they were duplicates, I wanted to keep them just so they could have two to choose from! I'm not sure it should be allowed to be this good-looking. AND..

2. despite the cold winds, they chose the PERFECT day to take Fall engagement pictures. Lubbock doesn't have a very long Fall, and for some reason, it lasted about a week (that's a long time) this year.. I'm talking everything.. the changing of leaves, the staying of leaves, the falling of leaves.. all in one week. This day, we had yellows, oranges, greens, browns, and reds. It was pretty perfect. :)

I had so much fun with this. Scroll up and down on your screen really fast for this image. haha. I want this on my wall. :) Is that weird? Probably.

I wish Lubbock was always yellow.

So, I'm not sure what photographer chalked this on the side of McPherson Cellars, but I'm assuming it was for a shoot. We decided to use it for our group picture. :D
